Well folks, the day has come for my "refuge" to Haiti. By the time you read this, I'll either be on the plane to my connecting flight in Miami to meet my Aunt(since I've been advised many a time not to go alone), already in Miami or feeling the scorching heat in Haiti. It's the first in my short (but long) quarter century on this earth getting to visit the homeland of my ancestors, and I'll document as much as humanly possible. In the meantime I leave you my daily offerings as per usual (I refuse to lose the momentum and you guys, even if I'm on holiday!) so carry on as if I was in the states. Unfortunately my carrier Sprint has no coverage there, and I won't be able to use my cell phone. I will miss using twitter/blogger/facebook immensely while I'm away but TMR will still soldier on.
And while I'm absolutely elated about going, besides the communication thing, one thing I'm not happy about: Blondie performing tonight....in Coney Island....for free.... I love Debby Harry so it's a drag not being able to see them but from what the band has said, they are working on a new record which means a tour so maybe at the top of the year or so.
Be good boys and girls, hopefully I'll make it back the same way I came. I love you all and see you in 10 days!

I hope you have a wonderful time in Haiti. It's nice to visit the place of our heritage. I visited Europe back in the year 2000. I saw quite a few of the countries my ancestors come from. Enjoy yourself. Cheers!
